Egg Chain operates on a three-tier merge mechanic where identical eggs combine to produce higher-value breeds. Starting with Common White Eggs at 10 coins per minute, you drag identical pairs onto each other to create Brown Eggs worth 25 coins per minute. The chain continues through 50+ breeds including Speckled, Golden, Phoenix, and the legendary Dragon Egg producing 50,000 coins per minute.
Each merge consumes both source eggs but preserves your nest capacity. The game tracks your lifetime merge count which unlocks prestige tiers at 1000, 5000, and 10,000 merges. Prestige resets your farm but grants permanent multipliers to coin production and egg spawn rates, creating exponential growth loops that reward long-term strategy.
Automation slots purchased with gems allow eggs to merge automatically when capacity reaches 80%. The system prioritizes highest-value merges first, letting you idle while your farm compounds value. Rare breeds have 2-5% spawn chances that increase with prestige level, and special event eggs appear during limited-time challenges with unique visual designs and bonus coin rates.
Progress from Common White through Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers to legendary breeds including Phoenix Eggs that regenerate after collection and Dragon Eggs with 50x multipliers. Each breed has distinct visual patterns, hatch animations, and coin production rates ranging from 10 to 50,000 per minute.
Reset your farm at prestige milestones to gain permanent multipliers. First prestige at 1000 merges grants 1.5x coin production. Fifth prestige unlocks automation slots. Tenth prestige adds rare breed spawn rate bonuses. Each reset compounds your earning potential while preserving achievement progress.
Purchase up to 5 automation slots with gems earned through achievements. Automated merges execute every 30 seconds when nest capacity exceeds 80%, prioritizing highest-value combinations. Offline earnings accumulate for up to 4 hours at 50% efficiency, letting you progress while away from the game.
Complete 60+ challenges including Merge Master for 10,000 lifetime merges, Golden Touch for hatching 100 Golden Eggs, and Speed Farmer for 50 merges in one minute. Each achievement awards gems used to unlock automation, nest expansions, and cosmetic themes for your farm background.
